SW was established in 2003 and within a 5-year period became the largest independent elevator company in Arizona.

Currently working in Dallas/Fort Worth area with over 90% of the Fort Worth market being within our profile. The Arizona, California, & Nevada locations were sold to KONE in 2012.
General Elevator Sales and Service was incorporated in the state of Florida and was the largest independently owned elevator company operating in Florida.
General Elevator specialized in Service, Modernization & Repair with approximately 5000 units under service.
Established as Economy Elevator in South Bend, Indiana and later acquired by Tom A. Cavinder in 1968. A potential customer, Notre Dame University, requested the name be changed before any business could occur.
Hence, the name was born that day! Cavinder became a monster working in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, and Kentucky. From major steel manufacturers in Indiana to major pharmaceutical companies in Michigan to highrise buildings in Chicago, to universities throughout.
Cavinder provided tailored contracts to meet the customers' specific needs resulting in higher customer service and reduction in operational costs. Sold to Otis Elevator in 2002.
Established in 1908 in Danville, IL as a machine shop and an elevator service company. Paul R. Cavinder (or our Grandpa) purchased the company after working then for a major, Haughton Elevator and quit and turned Fairhall into a major independent operating in Illinois and Indiana.
With strategic alliances with supplier Armor Elevator most installations in the area went to them…then that created a huge service base.
They sold in 1985 to Montgomery which is now KONE elevator…at the time it was Montgomery’s largest acquisition.
